We've read a few reviews that the nude beach shoreline at Couples San Souci is rocky and it's rather difficult to get in and out of the water there. We love our nude beaches but we also love being able to cool off and go for a swim in the ocean.

Can anyone who has been to Couples San Souci recently comment on how rocky it actually is? Sure we could put on water shoes, but we're there specifically to not have ANYTHING on at the beach!

The beach is at the mouth of the White River. It changes all the time depending on the weather in the mountains. Rocks most of the times we have been there. Always wore water shoes. We haven’t been since 2019.

Same comments as TravelHat, only would add that the water coming from the river into the bay is quite cool since it originates from the mountain. We usually prefer the beach to a pool, but we spent our whole week by the naturist pool with swim up bar. The lunch from the poolside restaurant was fairly decent (caveat… we went in January 2018 since our beloved SXM was out of commission due to Irma).

My biggest dislike of San Souci is as others have said. The beach is basically the right descending bank of the White River. The water is too cold for me. Another bigger issue for me is the beach is behind a little hilly peninsula that sticks out past the beach and blocks the prevailing easterly wind. I find this beach to be overly hot and no way to cool off. I don’t like crowded swimming pools.
