Arrived on Monday from clt via AA. Flight was smooth and got in a little early. Pulled up to a jetway for the first time which made things much smoother. Followed this signs for arrivals into a sparkling area with no other passengers waiting. We had both pre registered so all we had to do was scan our passport and leave. Total time from stepping off plane to leaving the building was less than ten minutes. I spoke with some people on the beach who hadn’t completed the registration and the said inputting address info, etc, was a pain. Not sure why the airlines don’t inform passengers of this requirement.
Met Lesley in the parking lot and we were on our way to our apartment in orient village. We picked a front row, second floor unit right by the entrance to Kontiki with beautiful views.our rental agent informed us that power to the village had been out since Sunday night with no predicted restoration. Needless to say Monday night was pretty uncomfortable. Spent great days at club o meeting both old and new friends.
Monday dinner was at Le Piment. Wife had risotto with shrimp and little neck clams and I had Maho creole. Both meals were delicious and service was excellent. Tuesday dinner was at Le P’tit Bistro. We shared two apps and a ceaser salad. One of the apps was a Wahoo tartare that was amazing. Service was amazing.
Arrived back at condo from dinner at 8:45 just as power was returning. Looking forward to rest of trip in cool condo.

Thanks for the report. Hopefully the power outage will be the only 'blip' on a great vacation! Enjoy!

Nice report! Orient Village is magical at night!

No power is not good, but glad it’s back.

Hope to stay in Orient on our next trip.
