How long before your arrival at St Maarten can you fill out the form?

No time limit in advance, but before check-in from your departing country

It’s best to do it early, we found out when filling out ours that they wouldn’t accept it as our passports were due to expire in January even though we are set to return Dec 6. Apparently passports have to be active for 3 months, that was news to me as we were always told it had to be valid for the duration of your trip.

I noticed that on the form too. I guess you had to cancel your trip or get a new passport.

A lot of countries require 3 months on your passport after your departure date, FWIW.

Sint Maarten official website states that the passport needs to be valid for 3 months after planned return trip only for visa required countries. For residents of countries where a visa is not required for entry to Sint Maarten, passport only need to be valid for the duration of stay. A visa is not required for the US, Canada and most European countries. If the entry form is requiring 3 months for all visitors, it seems like the people who designed the program are making their own rules.
