Last Friday we grabbed a mooring ball at North Sound Bistro and were planning on having dinner there. They were closed and the pool was empty and full of leaves. Just wondering if they hadn't opened for the season by November 9 or if they have closed.

That would be a huge disappointment! Great location/view and vibe. We thought the food was pretty good too smile

This would be sad news, indeed. We have enjoyed both of our experiences there, and looked forward to returning.

I'm sorry to see it closed. A couple of years ago when Tom ran the dinghy poker run we made a contribution and exchanged several emails with him. I was hoping to finally meet him at Blunder Bay when we make our next trip in July 2025.

We didn't see any activity there last week. We enjoyed the poker run 2 years ago. Great time and I did get to meet several locals, Capt. Tom, Dobbs, Jim and Alastair with Rum Runners. Lots of fun!!!

That Halloween dinghy poker run was an absolute BLAST!!!

I spoke with Tom Warner yesterday after seeing this thread. He confirmed that the North Sound Bistro is "not likely to be opening this season."

He also said that if there was an investor interested, Tom would absolutely love to run it and he thinks he could get a "very sweet deal."

Just putting that on the radar!!

That is very sad... I think possibly being just that bit out of the way in a bay with strong competition must have been challenge.

They were so very welcoming to us when we visited in December 2020 just days after the re-opening. We especially remember a nice young man Mordekai (I may be misspelling that) who we chatted with at length, in those days when being a visitor was being an post-lockdown novelty.

I ran into Mordekai earlier this year, he was in training to be a Moorings captain.

We also met Mordekai on our visit. His kindness really made an impression on us!
