GEBE is well on its way to solving its power generation problems and bringing an end to the load shedding that has been happening on the Dutch side. Engine #19 was brought back online today adding 10.5 Megawatts back to the grid. Engines 18 & 20 had repairs made in October. The containerized 10MW units were fully operational in August and hopefully the new 20MW container units will be live by the end of November. After all of this, maybe no more load-shedding. I wouldn't guarentee that's the long term solution. Short term with the way the island is developing.

I figure the residents of the island would be happy with a short term solution.

Carol, this should be the start of a long term solution and once the new 20 megawatt containerized generators are brought online than GEBE will be able to meet peak demand and load shedding should end.

One would hope so, but my confidence is not high.

But will it be able to service and keep up with all the new development plans?
