I posted this yesterday, but for some reason it was taken down.
All I want to know is it required to do before arrival or can you just do it the old way. I looked on the website and it says, " Coming Soon" . It want let you start the process.
They are not starting with digital entry and acceptance of the form until Friday the 18th of October 2024. Before Friday the form serves no purpose as the digital entry gates won't be operational. Don't expect their website to go live until Friday the 18th.
When digital entry goes live you will be able to walk up to an entrance gate, have your passport scanned and picture taken, it will be matched with your ED form you completed online, and if you haven't been flagged, it will pass you through. After the 18th of October, if you haven't completed the Digital ED, you will need to wait in a line and present yourself in person to an immigration person at a booth and go through the manual process as is currently being done.
If you are arriving in SXM this Friday or soon thereafter and want to complete the Digital ED card in the next few days, use the link below and it will give you a "backdoor entry" to the website and allow you to complete the entrance form. Any questions please ask.
You are correct, there is a group/family form that will be available but I did not save/request the link for that digital form. It should become available on Friday when the site is set to go live. I have included below some slides that should answer most questions. Hope this helps, other questions just let me know.
When I got to page two, it asked if I was arriving by boat or airlines. I checked airlines. The next question was carrier. When I went to enter which airline, it would not give me a drop down with a list of airlines. The process would not allow me to proceed past page 2 at this time. We fly Saturday, so I may have to wait until Friday to fill out the form.
It looks like they have turned off their dropdowns or disconnected the form from the backend support database. Hopefully they will turn it back on soon but if not it is supposed to be active on Friday. Once completed, you receive confirmation within a matter of minutes.
Do you print it out to fill it out? If you have been to the island many dozens of times in the last 10 years, what do you put down. I guess we can look back at our passports but why not just mention 'Alot?"
You fill it out and submit the form online. When it enquires about prior visits it asks how many trips in the past 5 years and your possible answers are 1 thru 5+.
Each person has to do a separate form, if they are adults. Not sure how they handle kids.
You have to do a form for each kid too. Families traveling with kids under 12 can’t use the automated kiosks (same with departure) and have to go see an immigration officer.
Thanks for the info, so far. I started filling it out for my arrival next Saturday, and hit a snag on the city of my birth in NY (Buffalo), which was not available. I was not allowed to "continue. Also, I have residency, and I saw no place to enter that, as far as I was able to go. If anyone has any information that can help me, I'd very much appreciate it. Have a week to go, so I'm not panicking. Yet!
Specifically though: has anyone not been able to enter their birth city?
I just completed the form, and it was quite easy. Took just a very few minutes. The email I received went into my junk folder and wasn't very informative. It had a link to my registration information but no confirmation number. Just thanked me for completing the registration and said it would ensure a smooth entry process. We'll see.
jazzgal, if you hit the “View Registration” button on the email, you will find your registration number. Not sure if I’ll need it for anything, but I printed it out. However, the registration number is very long and the entire number doesn’t print out. So I just wrote in the remaining hidden numbers on the printout.
I suggest you either take a picture of the email, with your phone, or print out a copy of the email just in case the airline asks you for verification before boarding your flight.

None of the long number printed out. I will probably write it all on the printed copy.
I filled it out on my phone. The email came to my phone as well so I just did a screenshot of the first page. I pressed the button to look at the submission and I did a screenshot of that page. That way it’s on my phone end it captures the registration number.
Has anybody recently arrived without having done this?
Has anybody had issues with their airline when departing for SXM asking for this form? Specifically AA.
I remember with the Covid process and the limited amount of window we had from PDX where we needed the approval before our first flight and on one of our trips we got the approval about 5 minutes before they started boarding the jet. Portland - Miami - SXM
Don't be the first that is denied boarding for not having the form filled out!!! The response from their system, once you submit the form is within minutes with the confirmation. You can submit as early in advance of your trip as you want.
Doesn't answer my question, are people being asked to show to the airline before boarding their flight? Has anybody arrived with out this being done and how did that go?
No personal experience but I did read comments on Facebook from people who had been asked by their airlines. The airlines had actually asked to see their QR code, which is apparently what is issued by some other Caribbean countries with a similar form. SXM isn't issuing that, but the passengers were able to show the email confirming their form had been submitted instead.
Warden said in the other thread that he was not asked for it by AA in Miami, so it sounds like there is no uniformity among the airlines, at least not yet.
Tried to fill out entry form, it would not accept either of my phone numbers cell 412-260-xxxx or landline 717-691-xxxx, is there another format that I should be using?
