Today didn’t turn out as planned, with the sun hiding behind clouds and plenty of rain—definitely not a beach or pool day. We started with breakfast at the Yacht Club, ran some errands, and then headed back to the villa.
In the afternoon, I met friends at D’s Beach Bar. For dinner, we chose Roma/Chow, where David and I enjoyed Asian cuisine while Mike opted for Italian. The bar was lively, and the restaurants started to fill up as we wrapped up our meal.
At the restaurant, we took advantage of happy hour from 5 to 7 PM, enjoying discounted cocktails and the Korean wings. For dinner, I had the General Tso Shrimp with jasmine rice, while David had an 8 oz skirt steak with wasabi mash (which was a bit too intense) so David switched to regular mashed potatoes). Mike went with penne carbonara. Their General Tso shrimp is crunchy and absolutely delicious. David steak was tender and tasty. Mike loved the carbonara served with a rigatoni pasta and pieces of pancetta.
We made deposits at the casino in Maho before heading home.
Sorry to disappoint, but I don’t have any Halloween costume pictures to share. We’ve been reminiscing about our fun times dressing up and partying at places like Sunset Beach Bar, Lady C, Kissing Fish, Red Piano, and Buc’s. Our group has definitely shrunk over the years, and the enthusiasm has faded, but we still cherish those great memories from our 13 years of Halloween celebrations.
