Jerry V when do you get to the island?
We will come in March and like yourself I've booked flight, lodging, hotel with parking in Boston for the night before we fly and for the date we return so can leisurely drive back home. And booked car with Leslie. Just have to do the form.

We arrive on 11/26. Only thing left is dinner reservations. Perhaps a lobster for Thanksgiving. Turkey of the sea!!

We always set two alarm clocks. One is battery operated in case the electrical power goes out and messes up the electric powered alarm. (I like a belt and suspenders.)

I set two alarms also. Although truth be told, I am normally awake at 4 AM or whenever, anyway. I don't sleep well the night before, at all.

Carol - " I don't sleep well the night before, at all" Couldn't agree more, we are picked up at 2:30 am for our trip to the airport so any sleep before that just doesn't happen. It's a tough start to vacation but soon forgotten once your toes are in the sand

Whale Tail--normally if we take the earlier flight, we leave home about 4 AM, so not much later. Of course, I usually sleep in the car to Miami, so I cheat!  do you have a trip planned soon? I love your trip reports!

Yes Carol we have 2 trips coming up!!!! Our first trip starts mid Dec for 3 weeks, so we'll be on island for Christmas and New Year celebrations. Oh Boy  Then we return to Canada to recover and dry out for 6 weeks  We then return the last week of February for a month to enjoy the Heineken Regatta. Both of these trips we will be staying at La Terrasse. While we are there in December we are going to try to lock up our Feb/26 trip at SBR. We really enjoyed our trip to SBR this past spring but it did cost us big time because we booked through the resort.Ouch!! This time we are looking to find an owner and book a month to save some money, but haven't made a connection as of now.
