I have a question if anyone has ever seen or purchased Bordier butter on the French side at all? Are there similar gourmet butters available on the French side of St Maarten?

They have some nice French sea salted butters in Super U, love freezing some and taking them home, so much better than what we get in the states.

SXMScuba, you don't know what you are missing if you haven't tried good french butter!

I've had French butter before on island. Just don't get the hype.

We found that the unsalted butter on the dutch side is our favorite. That's all we eat at home here.

President butter is available on both sides of the island, AND available here in Florida.

Thank you for the information. I’ll have to stop at Bacchus in Hope Estates when we go to Sebastien Quillere’s Patisserie.

Try lunch at Bacchus if you have time, one of the best restaurants on the island. Also a great wine shop/cave.

Does one need a reservation for lunch? And what hours do they serve?

You can make one on open table but usually isn't that crowded (unless high season).

Open noon-3pm Monday to Saturday.
