Yesterday 6 of us had lunch at Dreams with four having gone earlier & spent the morning/early afternoon on the beach & then my husband & I met up with them for a 1:30 lunch. I had not been there since I got back on island but it was as wonderful as always. Bruno, George, Davide & the rest of the staff were busy taking care of everyone in the restaurant because it was a very busy afternoon. Bruno again expressed his dismay at having some customers leave his place unhappy & he was hoping they would give them another try.

Everyone had apps, entrees of either salads, pasta & of course my usual bacon cheeseburger. There were just two desserts ordered because everyone was pretty full but the profiteroles & no name dessert must be eaten.

We all left happy & full & since these friends are all here for a few weeks we are making this our Tuesday afternoon gathering place.

I am happy to report that all seems under control at Dreams with Bruno back at the helm & keeping things running smoothly.

So happy to hear this, Sharon. Of course, none of us who knows Bruno had any doubt that he'd have the place whipped into shape quickly.

So Happy you enjoyed your afternoon at Dreams....I have been there about a dozen times at all different times of the year and love the place.....Quiet and relaxed if that is what you choose....Alive and active if that is your choice....I love the bread and dipping sauce that is served waiting for your meal...Will be there again in a few weeks and it sounds like we need reservations.....I don't want to disappoint my Canadian friends when we get there....Best of wishes in this New Year, 2015.....

Dreams has definitely made my list for March - do you have any idea of how late they serve lunch? We like to eat later - I'm never hungry at noon if I've eaten breakfast. Thanks.

It depends on what day you go. Some days they are open for dinner, so they would serve all the way through dinner time. Check with them once you get on island to see what nights they are open for dinner.

You can order lunch as late as you prefer in the afternoon. It is not as crowded then and always enjoyable. We have ordered as early as noon and as late as 3:30 P.M.

Bruno told me that since they are now open every night except Sunday for dinner they close the kitchen from 4 to 6 in order to get ready for dinner. You can go at 3 if you like & they will not chase you from sitting & enjoying your meal.

We are at Dreams most weeks and I have to say, I am not sure Bruno needed to do a correction! We haven't had a bad afternoon yet and IMHO maybe the OP on the other thread was just having a bad day or not used to French customs. Who knows!

If you saw my post we were there New Year's day and I will give them some leeway as our waiter was working on not much sleep but the service was horrible (2-1/2 hours for 2 pizzas) and Bruno was there and obviously having issues with his staff and acted really pi--ed off at some of his staff. We had a much nicer experience at Layla's
Hope it gets corrected because it has been good past years.
