We were in SXM last November/December 2023 and the airport was still a problem with arrivals and departures. We are scheduled to arrive on November 25th, 2024, and were wondering if the airport is back in full service with respect to arrivals and departures? Are the Jetways working yet and how is the baggage claim area? Last November, it took us about 80 minutes to just get our luggage.
Is there anything new we should know about at the airport?

The new arrival hall opens Tuesday which should include full use of jetways.

Remember that there are only 4 jetways and there are often more than 4 planes. Some bussing or walking is still going to happen. Departures side is a breeze, specially if you are using the A gates.
