In order to avoid Milton in Miami we have changed our flight from Wednesday to Tuesday. American made it easy, No change fees. Everything is rearranged except BSV. Have not heard if we can add a day there. I guess we'll sleep on the beach one night.

Have had a situation similar before and spent 1 night at Simpson Bay Resort, was good for the price, like $125/nt.

Hopefully all the flights make it without any delays, storm is a beast!

I actually think that MIami will be OK from Milton, but who knows? Sounds like a good plan on your part. Hopefully you are able to hear back from BSV.

We fly DFW-MIA-SXM Thursday. Leave DFW at 5am. Very worried about the DFW to MIA.

Not much connection time on that in Miami but likely fine, and there is a later back up flight from MIA to SXM. Or you could get out of DFW the night before and stay at that MIA Hotel, a dive but you are part way to SXM. If the option is there I am in the camp of go earlier and stay later!

We made it. A long 24 hours. 7 hour drive from home to Chicago. Four hours in an expensive hotel. Up at two AM. 5 am flight.to Miami. Hoofed it across airport. Then a half hr wait. And then a 3 plus flight. Wiped out. But here. More tomorrow.

Do you plan on checking out the Belair? I know that's where you traditionally stay.

Well our DFW to MIA tomorrow was cancelled. We were able to push the departure and return forward two days meaning we arrive and depart on a Saturday. We were trying to avoid the airport on Saturday but that was all that worked for us.
