I don't have an account with facebook but I just clicked the X in right corner and the photo showed big bottles of water moving on the conveyor belt. Surrounding area still looks unfinished so I doubt they'll make the Oct 8 date as noted.

Agreed, area does not look finished at all. How shocking it would be, if they didn't make their announced opening date!

I couldn't tell if there was just one long conveyor belt with one loading area or multiple stations for more than one plane to unload.

There are a total of 4 luggage belts. Two belts are full size belts for the large, international flights, 1 belt is smaller and will handle all of the regional commuter flights and a 4th belt to handle all of the oversized baggage, for all flights, like car seats, wheel chairs, golf clubs etc.

The date of October 8th is what is posted by the news website, attached to that small video clip(16 seconds). The full video, which runs 19 minutes and 38 seconds lists a targeted open date for the arrival hall of October 15th and it is stated right in the video itself. I would surmise that someone threw up the date of the 8th because it is the supposed first date for the use of the digital ED.
Here is hoping that all is operational on the 15th.

OK, it is possible that everything will be operational by October 15. I hope so. There have been way too many delays so far.

Thanks for posting that link. For those who haven't seen it, the first five minutes or so is the departure area. The baggage claim area is definitely not finished yet.
