Looking is the key word here as I just has cataract surgery in left eye with multiple corrective lenses and can't believe the difference in color and clarity. Get the right eye surgery next week. Now I'll be able to see some of what I've been missing all these years in St Maarten through my smudged vision. Wish I would have had it done years ago.

Good luck with that, I know we don't always see things the same way and now I know why! I bet you didn't see that one coming! Seriously, good luck with it.

Good luck. Just had a friend who had both eyes done and is having some complications. They tried a laser on the eye that was cloudy after the cataract procedure but it is still cloudy.

🤞 So far all is good. Typing this without glasses. Distance is really clear with left eye open and right eye closed. Well worth the extra that Medicare doesn't cover.

Like JD, I have had a couple of friends lately who had cataract surgery and they had problems. I went for a consult re cataract surgery and decided to put it off, for now.

I had the choice of distance only, close up only or having both distance and close up. I opted for both. If it's just cataract removal they just put in a regular non corrective lenses that Medicare pays for and you'll still need corrective glasses.. Any implants with corrections are out of pocket.

I had regular cataract on my left eye and had no cost but $300 for hospital. My wife’s was $7000 plus the $300 hospital cost. My doctor did not recommend the the other surgery for me. I wasn’t interested in getting it but was surprised he didn’t think it would be beneficial. He may have reacted that way because I knew him from our gym. He did recommend my wife’s surgery.

I had the lens you had in one eye right before the shutdown. MD told me 95% chance of success as he was doing this on an eye that had had lasik-like surgery about three decades ago which had to be redone - so two laser surgeries prior. It wasn't successful - no real improvement in vision. I wasn't able to get in to see the surgeon for several months after the surgery due to the shutdown; don't know if that would have made a difference or not. At any rate, I'm dragging my heels on having the other eye done.

SCuba I had both done with special lenses at a cost of 1500. per eye. Medical plan only covered $300. per eye but it was well worth it! The colors are amazing! I tell everyone not to wait to have it done. Also I could never drive at night because I saw haloes around lights but that is all gone now.

I had one eye done about 8 years ago at age 48. Very young for them but it was a trauma induced cataract caused by a fall. Either off a horse or skiing. Insurance paid for all except the distance lense. Then about 3 years ago I had the other eye done and did an even better distance lense in that eye. Occasionally need cheaters for medicine bottles or stuff that small. But no need for glasses to read! So happy I spent the extra money on the distance lenses.

I had mine done through Northwest Eye Surgery. They have a location in Vancouver WA close to you. Highly recommend them. A lot has changed over the years to improve the outcome.

I had both eyes done, several weeks apart, maybe 15 years ago. Wonderful results. Need glasses only for reading. It saved me from becoming disabled . I practiced law for 46 years and had to read the fine print as part of my work ! Only wish I had done it several years earlier. I can drive without glasses now, with no problems. Wonderful procedure, done by Cincinnati Eye Institute, in their branch office in Middletown.

i had both mine done almost two years ago, after putting it off for years. It was the easiest thing to do, and if i knew how easy and how much better i could see i would've done it way sooner. The colors, the clarity, the easy night driving again, all were huge!! I'm still amazed how much better and clearer my eye sight is now....better than it has been in at least thirty years!! I didn't get any upgraded lenses when i had mine, and it is very rare that i even need my readers at all!!

Only drawback is the eyedrops 4 times a day but worth it. Vision improved next day.

Had my right eye done yesterday. OMG what a new world out there. Not only is everything at distance clear as a bell but can even read the fine print on prescription bottles without cheaters. Wish I would have done this years ago. Quick and painless. 👀

My doc wrote a script for something you use only once a day. Can't remember what it was except my RX plan didn't cover the cost of $40 . Worth the investment . It was so much better than going through drops 4 times daily.
So to anyone considering the surgery ask about the one bottle drops once a day. If I recall the name i'll post it here.

I'll have my wife look into that if and when she has hers done. Thanks.
