As I look at the weather report (below 0 for the next 24 hrs, below freezing for at least the next 10 days) my thoughts turn to the BVIs and our upcoming trip.
Plane lands at STT 2:46 pm. I am thinking I catch a ferry at 3:30 to Roadtown, arriving approx 4:20.
How long should I plan on to do C&I? There is probably no chance I'll catch the 4:30 Speedy's ferry, right?
Thoughts?

I haven't cleared C&I at Road Town, but I wouldn't think so. Are you wanting to take the 4:30 Speedy's to VG? If you are arriving on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, Speedy's has a ferry direct from STT to VG. From their website, it looks like the Tuesday and Thursday ferry leaves STT at 5:00 PM and the Saturday ferry leaves STT at 4:00 PM.
The next time you get mad, ask yourself the following question. Will it will matter a year from now? If it won't, breathe in, breathe out and move on. Life is short, remember to have fun along the way.

We get in Monday the second of Feb, so the Tuesday ferry won't work.

I would definitely count on NOT making the 4:30 Speedy's, unfortunately. You will most likely be getting off the boat with locals who've got shopping, etc. with them -- it will take you a bit either way to clear.
Not sure if you want to spend the $$, but you can fly one-way from STT to VG on Air Sunshine for $150 each. Daily flights at 3:30 and 5:30 (probably the most realistic). airsunshine.com

Ok, I wasn't really counting on it, but thought I'd check.
Popped an email to Air Sunshine since their website was not of great value.
Thanks for the info!

You might want to just give them a call as well. I find sometimes the email is definitely on ilon time <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Just a thought that has worked for me in the past. There are usually one or two "welcome" ambassodors at the ferry dock helping with your check into the BVI. Ms. George is super. Just ask one of them "immediately" if you will be able to make the 4:30 to VG. Most likely she/he will take you to the head of the line and even hold the Speedy ferry a few minutes. It helps to look confused and pathetic (I'm good at that).

With ten minutes, I would not risk that. What would be the option if it was missed anyway? Trying to find a last minute hotel on Tortola? Probably doable but why would you want to do that with lodging already paid for on VG waiting?

The fallback is the ferry after that, probably about 6 if my memory serves, so it is not a must make for the 4:30.
My biggest worry is the 45 minute window to change planes in Philly.

Take the 4:15 PM Roadtown Fast Ferry Will get you to Roadtown around 5:15 PM Speedy Ferry to VG is at 6Pm. You will have to hustle theu customs as that can take an easy 30 min. Make sure the C&I people know you have the 6 PM ferry to catch.
