We normally go in the summer and thinking about a xmas trip. Is it super windy that time @ Orient beach?? I heard in winter months it is?? Also how busy are restaurants? Do we need reservations or can we just walk in for a party of 4 ?? for Orient village and Grand Case Thanks

Weather will be great, I guess sometimes its windy. If you are actually visiting over Christmas, you will want reservations, literally the high/ultra high season.
Many places will have amazing specials on the French side like oysters and foie gras, a great time to visit.
Will be arriving after Christmas for NYE, can't wait.

Been going this time of year for a long time (30+ yrs.). High season so expect restaurants to be busier and increased traffic. Less chance of serious storms. Orient has some windy days but I think that is all year round.

We've been a couple of times in December and it's been pretty windy, but I just take a jacket for the evenings. A time or two it was too windy for the beach, but not often.
