More about this. "In collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic, and Telecommunication (TEATT), Princess Juliana International Airport is enhancing the passenger experience with a new digital registration system. This user-friendly platform allows travelers to conveniently register their information online before arriving in the country, making the immigration process smoother and faster. Future updates will enable biometric processing for even quicker border control, along with advanced systems to improve safety and risk management. Rest assured, your data privacy is fully protected under GDPR standards, ensuring a secure and efficient travel experience. Scheduled for launch October 8th, 2024, the website (www.sxmentry.com) will be available by August and will serve as a critical resource for passengers entering our borders. Further details regarding website registration processes, functionalities, and key information will be shared closer to the actual launch."
Had experience with something similar on another island (Bermuda) a while back. Input all our info into their system online, had it confirmed back to us. Had it on our phones as we arrived on the island, headed for immigration, only to find that their systems were down and unable to read the data for 3 plane-loads of visitors. Growing pains, I guess, as it worked fine on a later visit. Suspect SXM will see something similar until they get the bugs out.
Maybe you can create a new thread and pin it to the top to alert everyone to the upcoming change for entrance? Similar to what you did during covid for some of the SXM entrance changes.
