BlueBayGetaway Cancun
First let me start off with, this is not the Ritz Carlton or one of the Hiltons. So if this is the type of resorts you are looking for do not stay at BBG.
It is an adult only all-inclusive resort. No children under the age of 19 are allowed at the property.
The Good:
We are members of RCI so we were given certain perks that made our experience more enjoyable.
We had a nice clean pool front ocean view room (343 sexy pool).
Check in at the VIP desk with Jesus and Amelia was a pleasure.
We had Lobster at Bellavista the seafood rest. at the BBG, it was delicious. Better than the over priced Lobster we had at Lorenzillo’s in downtown Cancun do not go here it is a rip-off, two Lobster tail dinners forty-five $ each, two classes of house wine $12.50 a glass.
Il Piaccere the Italian rest at BBG was very good we had two menus to chose from the regular and a RCI menu. The Village Wok-Oriental food. This rest is right on the water very pretty with nice views. The soft-shell crab was excellent, the Tuna not that good. The Breakfast Buffet is great.
We did not find the drinks to be watered down. But we had gold bands, which entitled us to premier booze.
The Bad:
All three rest could have been air conditioned better. Dinner buffets were not very good.
We would like to have had the pools open later than 9: PM.
BBG provided direct transportation to the resort from the airport but when you leave you are on your own.
Best bet taxi back to the airport $17.00.
The Ugly
I know you will read this in other reports but we are beach people and this Bay they call a beach at BBG is terrible.
This by itself would keep us from returning to BBG.
But if a nice beach is not important to you a good time can be had at BBG.
PS The beaches on the main strip of hotels on Cancun are some of the nicest we have seen
