I had coffee under the pavilion with Doug and Betsy the cat. Not much to report today, a fruit tart from Le Sucrière that I picked up yesterday and packing. Hanging out here at the Toad until about noon, drop off the rental and hopefully smooth going home.

I saw one ship come in this morning and it has been cloudy with passing showers. Fennin, the gardener is trimming some of the salt water burned palms to get them looking better.

The water continues to be very clear here and while rock ledges are exposed, entry and exit in front of here has been easy.

Total time in SXM from dropping the car to being through security was about 20 minutes. We departed gate B5, it was a mess with the construction and gates 4 & 5 sharing the same small area with maybe 20 or so seats. They were doing a good job boarding the busses (no a/c) and keeping people moving through the cramped area.

In CLT now. Landed at 6:00 and with Global Entry (and the airport not being busy) I was waiting on luggage within 10 minutes. A full flight here, unlike on the way down. Lots of construction here in CLT, it is hot and the a/c is not really keeping up. I did have to get a new boarding pass as the one from SXM did not indicate TSA precheck (perhaps they never do?) and I did not want to wait in the longer security line. Total time to get to my departure gate was less than 1 hour. This is the quickest I have ever made it through CLT. Hopefully the flight is on time to DAY. There is/was an earlier flight but it is delayed beyond my scheduled flight.

On another note. My car was rented from Hardy's Car Rental. This is the third time I have used them. Easy to deal with and meet and greet at the airport and do the paperwork there. They met me at the airport for the drop off and have a small office along Airport Rd. where many of the other rental agencies are located. We all have our favorites and Hardy's is now mine.

Thanks everyone for reading my updates and those who know the Horny Toad will understand the uniqueness and attraction.

Sounds like you're well on your way for the connecting flight. When we departed sxm this last time all my boarding passes had TSApre on them. Must have been a glitch on their part in sxm that yours wasn't.

The same thing happened on my return in March through ATL. I went through the regular line then. I will have to watch more closely next time.

The fur babies are happy.
