Tonight's our last night in Orient before we spend 3 days in Saba and finish up with 10 day at RI in Maho
As always I started the day early with a large French press and caught the sun just inching up from the horizon
after a ham, egg & cheese crepe (store bought crepe, I just fill them) , we enjoyed some early pool time
The weather has been perfect and we have enjoyed not having hot and humid nights especially we we are dining al fresco

There were certainly some things I wanted to do such as enjoy a nicer beach bar lunch, but there is always next year and if the weather cooperates when we are in Maho, I am planning a few days at Mullet and at either D's beach bar or Marys Boon
I got no plans for Saba since our friends will be showing us around and will go with the flow
we will be car less but close to several restaurants, a grocery store and most importantly what looks like a pretty good bakery although not like a French bakery
we have gone six days without TV and I am assuming the world is still spinning, we did spend a good amount of time at the pool taking up much of the day
Fearful, I weighed myself and gained 1.5 pounds which is respectful considering we have enjoyed some great meals, but have done no snacking and really only have 3 glasses of wine a day
the 2 beers and the bottle of wine we found in the refrigerator are still there, although we will be drinking the wine tonight
we "borrowed" some Aperol for some spritzes we made but that is all we used out of the liquor cabinet

we made arrangements with RI to store our unneeded luggage so departed for Maho around 12:30 PM after a lite lunch at "home"
traffic was diverted right around Leader Price and forced us to pass through the center of Gran Case losing a little time
seems there was something like a car show, but with cycles and a lot of them, sorry but probably a lot of crazy drivers all gathered together
Got to RI and stored luggage while wife went down to pool to see if she knew anyone since this is earlier than when we usually stay
We knew a couple was there but not by the pool, so she wife knocked on their backdoor slider (ground level) and they now are storing our luggage which is a bit safer then the lobby storage room

On to cupecoy to surprise Carib Lee at Rendezvous jazz brunch
we sat behind him and his wife and when the first set was over my wife asked them to move a bit so I could see the musicians
Being kind southerners, his wife said which way can we move until Carib Lee knew he was being pranked

It was nice to spend some time with them before the next set started and hopefully some year we will share some dates together
Dr Phil you know they are awesome and so nice

Getting take away from Bon Mama in Orient and having candlelight dinner on our porch overlooking the pool to the ocean with the light pulsing music of Kontiki celebrating their last night before vacation.
I know the feeling

Probably signing off for a few days but will give a quick report on Saba since readers, especially long time visitors are always looking for something new to do

Thanks all for reading, hopefully paying back all that have made reviews and commendations for me

Pound and a half isn't bad considering the week you've had dinning out.

I am so glad you stopped by Rendez Vous so we could visit. We really enjoyed our short time together. Hopefully we can get together for a longer visit when we both return to the island next year. Enjoy the rest of your trip! And keep the trip reports coming.

Thanks for all of your reports so far and looking forward to your future reports. Your knowledge of food and high cuisine is very enjoyable to read and the pictures compliment your experiences. We enjoy good food when we are on island but multiple course meals are just too much for us to consume and quite frankly if I can't read or understand the menu outside the restaurant then I'm not going in to embarrass myself. Thanks again for sharing your visit.
