I'll be living in SXM(dutch) for 4 months (from Canada), and I don't know if I can really justify paying $70 a month + $50 connection fee for internet at my apartment, especially since most of the time I'll be at my university. Wondering if theres a cheaper alternative, like good mobile internet that I can just hotspot from my phone. I've checked TeleM and Flow and I think generally buying data would be more expensive, and I've also heard that the network service and connection from them can be sketchy, and sometimes when going to the French side they don't work? Anyone with experience can give me advice on this?

Also how is the postal service there, would I be able to order from Amazon, Ebay, etc.?

For mail, you may want to look at the services from The Mail Box in Simpson Bay. They will provide you with a US address for things like Amazon and Ebay, etc.

Oh. Is there no postal service to homes and residences on the Island?
