For a first visit to GC, take a 1/2 excursion to Stingray City. After you return to town, get a taxi to Cemetery Reef in West Bay. Arrange for the taxi to pick you up in a few hours. There's a small footpath at the end of the cemetery that takes you to the beach. The reef is about 100 yards swim from the beach.

If the ship is tendering there at the main square pier. There is also very good snorkeling at Eden Rock. Maybe 3 to 5 blocks from the pier. No beach but good snorkeling.

Eden Rock will also rent snorkel gear. There's a ladder to enter the water, and a fresh water shower near it to rinse off.

The restaurant there is good also. Have a drink or something to eat after snorkeling.
