Bad situation. Secret Seafood announced they are closed until they recieved their generator. Many shops weren't open in Maho unless they had auxiliary power. One place had a very large loud portable generator on the curb. Great ambiance for patrons eating near by. Not.

I saw that about Secret Seafood and definitely having a smelly, noisy generator running is not good ambiance.. I have to assume that most Air B & B's, many smaller condo complexes, and at least some resorts do not have generators. But, according to Jeff Berger, the electric situation has no effect on most tourists. BS.

GEBE and the Airport are among the few local state-owned companies that actually have to serve the public.
Both suffer from nepotism and corruption.
If we ever needed a good example of how both attitudes can kill a company, we have now GOT it.
