Greetings American ttolers,

I found a very very affordable united flies to Canada. I can't find much about this stripped down airline's added fees,

The basic fee is super low. On their website i can't always find how to upgrade prior to purchase (that button was only showing once), the cost a comfy seat preselected and if economy plus includes check in and carry on.

Im sure it's there somewhere but the best i found was the upsell button though no indication of what that includes. I think cost was $140 or so.

I searched via star alliance website...et voila... redirected to same united page.

I assume all is clear once they have my booking, but dear ttolers, whats the deal?

I'm not sure I really understand your question. Are there flights to SXM from Canada on United? I would assume it is a connecting flight through somewhere? United is not generally known as being a super low cost airline. Once you're on their website and look up a fare, and you can hit "Compare Fare Types ", and that will show you what is included in the fare.

Yes, its a code share that i cant find via air canada's site.

Its a miami layover with many long layover options to canada.

Option 2, is land via neighbouring to the south airport and transfering to canada there...this too is much cheaper.

And since no flights are easy for me, another three hours via usa is peanuts in a total 17+ hour flights.

Carol, thanks the heads up... its a once you know, you know question... i just didnt know...
