I'm chartering a boat with starlink internet services / available for charterers. Anyone with any experience on this?
I presume there will be a manual on board. But, will I bluetooth my system into this or exactly what?
Can I make wifi phone calls or just text/email?
thx, rrs

Starlink works just like a router. User name and a password. You can make phone calls as long as you have a VOIP phone app on your smartphone.

You can make wifi phone calls. But be aware that a wifi call to a local (BVI) number will be charged as if you had made the call from the USA ($$).

We've used our Starlink up and down the Caribbean chain. It is a wifi connection. We turn off roaming on our smartphones and use AT&T wifi calling. We use WhatsApp to make local calls to WhatsApp users. For streaming music and videos we connect to a VPN to make it look like we are in USA/UK.
