We were provided with a dinghy ladder on our last charter, and it was amazing! Our charter in a couple of weeks does not include a dinghy ladder, so I’m thinking about buying one online. Any recommendations?

Yes, just rent. The good ones are pretty bulky to try to pack

Yep. Definitely useful. I think they’re $50/ charter from BVISUP.

There’s nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

We love our Rapid Rung ladder that we also use for rafting when in Colorado for the summer.

We bring a Davis swim step. It’s relatively light and does help getting back in.

How about just tying some loops in a dock line?

“…tying loops in a dock line…”

I tried that one year….didn’t work. When you put weight onto the line, it dove under the dinghy and it was impossible to climb vertically into the boat. A dinghy ladder is the solution because it holds you out as you climb. BVI Yacht Charters offers them as an add-on and it works perfectly. So much easier to board after snorkeling,
