I’m in the middle of building an order on the Riteway website. It is showing a 10% packing and delivery charge in my running total. Is this an anomaly that will go away when I finalize the order? Or do they charge for delivery now?

I believe Riteway now charges for delivery. They used to give a nice discount for provisioning and free delivery. Then Covid hit, and they began charging for assembling curbside orders. My guess was they didn't want to be accused of favoring better-off tourists.

10% of a thousand dollar order is a hefty charge. May have to rethink

It is a lot. Tico and Caribbean Cellars offer free delivery on larger orders, so get your beverages there. French Deli and Seafood Kingdom offer delivery. Some of the local farms may do also. Then pick up the remaining items yourself at Riteway. It also avoids odd substitutions.

I just read the fine print in their FAQs on website. Delivery fee 10% up to $75 max. I don’t know if Bobby’s or One Mart charges delivery fees

The main issue about picking up items ourselves is I really don’t want to lug 40 gallons drinking water, cases of sodas/mixers, etc. Carribean Cellars will not break cases for sodas, etc. they don’t sell like 10 ginger beers
