We're in the very preliminary stages of planning a summer 2025 trip. After 14 charters with The Moorings, all in monohulls, I'm not inclined to look elsewhere. Our last charter in 2021 was on a 46.3 with 5 people and we loved the boat. For 2025 it probably would be 5 once again but if more then we might want to look into a larger monohull.
At one spot on their website they indicate a 52.4 is available in the BVI but it does not show up as an option when going through their booking page. I realize monohulls are a dying breed but we like them and certainly don't like the much larger cost of catamarans. I'm not quite ready to engage their sales folks but thought maybe someone with The Moorings connections would know if they have indeed phased out any boats larger than the 46.3. Their yacht purchase site does not show the 52.4 as available for purchase.

There are some 52.4 boats in the BVI fleet. There are however none available for booking in June and July. You can get them in May and August. I suspect they have been booked by one of the various teen sailing summer programs. Would not hurt to give them a call however.

Thanks George. I had only checked June and July and hadn't considered the possibility that they would already be booked that far out. A couple of charters ago they had our boat down as part of a camp flotilla so it hadn't been prepped for our taking it out.
