Hi

Has anyone used the Carrefour provisioning service? I used to use it when it was still Grand Marche and I chartered my boat out of Marigot and it worked well, but the Carrefour website and xls provisioning list has no prices. I'm chartering out of Anse Marcel, won't have a car and I'm very reluctant to order a good amount of food and drink without knowing the cost!

Mike-- Very few of us here are yacht based. I do know that Jeannie at Shop N Drop was doing some yacht provisioning at one time, not sure if she still is, or what her prices are like, versus other options. I know there are also a couple of yacht provisioning places in the middle of Simpson Bay, but don't know their names. Zanshin probably would be the one best suited to answer this question. Hopefully he chimes in soon

Thanks Carol. I thought maybe people used provisioning services if they were staying in Villas but I guess not. Shop N Drop are on Dream Yacht's recommended list and they seem to have a good selection. I'll use them unless I get any positive experiences of Carrefour from anyone else.

Mike--Land based folks I think use Jeannie, but I don't know for sure. We always have a car, so we do our own shopping. And actually, I love shopping for groceries on island, but I guess I am weird.

Jean is the same as you Carol. Drives me mad grin My idea of shopping is decide what you need (not want), go to first shop that has it, buy it, go home. Wandering around shops, looking at things you will never want or need is my idea of hell. So, we shop separately. Seems to work as the day we arrive, next Tuesday, is our 43rd wedding anniversary.

Mike--for some reason, I love grocery shopping, but usually not shopping in general, EXCEPT on island. smile Stuff on island is so much more interesting! Congrats on the anniversary!
