I just was reading about the issues at Dreams,,,,I have none as the one and only time I went there,,,there was no one around,,,but maybe that was prior to Marty and things going on. It was Jan 2012. So,,thus my question. Can anyone who is vacationing on island go to the Dreams bar and join in,,,or is it kinda part of staying at the "C"? May sound like a dumb question, if there is such a thing, but when we walked in there,,,we kinda got stares from the few that were there and I tell ya,,,hardly no one around. It was a beautiful day, etc.etc. It is the pool area at the C,,,,correct??

Most of the people at Dreams Pool Bar are not staying there, so yes you can go regardless of where you sleep.

I will also add on behalf of Marty. His place Marty's (next to Toppers) is a very good place to eat. The dinners are excellent especially for the cost, I highly suggest the Hurricane Shrimp.

Dreams is a beach and restaurant on Nettle Bay. Marty's Dream Pool Bar is not the same place at all.

Yes, anyone can go to Marty's Dream Pool Bar at Alegria, which used to be called Caravanserai. It is not restricted to guests at the hotel.

Yep, it was Marty"s dream pool bar, or whatever at the former "c" that I was referring to. I always hear about how much fun it is there and I have seen the setting,,,beautiful,,,,so I will give it another shot.

but the issues that you refer to had to do with Dreams Restaurant in Nettle Bay not Marty's Dream pool bar.

Yes Marty's Dream Pool Bar is at Alegria which used to be Caravanserai. It is right there by Sunset Bar and Grill that used to be Sunset Beach Bar. The Dream Pool Bar is not to be confused with Dreams which Bruno owns over in Nettle Bay. Marty's other place which is or was called Marty's Gyro is next door to Toppers which was previously Bananas and that is near Billy Folley Road. Another good place is The Palms, which used to be The Palms but different owners but once was Marty's!

As a new comer I am so confused-I have Dreams on my list of things to do when we arrive in 2 weeks. So there's 2 dreams?????

Oh Boy, and yes Marty can set you up with a rental car!

There is only one DREAMS. It is a restaurant on the beach in Nettle Bay. The Dream Pool Bar is only a bar(no restaurant) and is located at the Alegria Resort in Maho. Your list will be for DREAMS, but there is no reason why you can't extend your list to include the other bar too. Both are fun places, but different!

Ha, Ha, Todd you are pretty good stuff...I got it. See I didn't know about the other Dreams in Nettle. But your very good description of Toppers and such has me now "dreaming". I got it and I know exactly what you are talking about. Thanks so much. It feels good to be anticipating another trip to SXM.Randy and I are taking 3 "newbies", that's half the fun!!

Here's where the habit of adding an "s" to the names of everything causes issues! There is no "other" Dreams, only the one on Nettle Bay. Marty's place is The Dream Pool Bar...no "s".

Correct and if people would fully read a post before jumping in with a response, it would eliminate some of the confusion also.

The places in question are often two of the most confused or mistaken and they are totally different entities.

And remember Marty's Dream Pool Bar is on Sint Maarten and Dreams is on Saint Martin.

The only thing i am able to add to this conversation is that yesterday we had Bikini Martinis at Marty's Dream Pool Bar and they were great!!

Marty's Dream pool bar also has "HH"!!!! Not sure if Bruno's Dreams restaurant beach has that???
