Hello all,
We will be on the island may 12 to may 19, staying at the Atrium hotel. We would like to meet some new people. I’m 61 and my wife is 57. This is our 12th trip to Sxm. We don’t travel much while on the island, mostly in Simpson bay. Maybe one day at Mullet beach and one day in Philipsburg.

Second what Dr Phil said--sit at the bar, regardless of where you are. That will ensure more interaction with other folks.

Get out of Simpson Bay!! Head to Maho at night. Or head to Marys Boon, K or D’s Beach Bar - all Simpson Bay Beach during the day Always many people to meet. If you are on Facebook. Join SXM or Bust. Many gatherings and just look for the flag! Many members travel with flags or even yeti style mugs. Probably my favorite Facebook group at this point.

If you are comfortable there, I would say that Club O beach is the best place to meet people. You won't find a friendlier, more accepting bunch of people on the island. We have many friends that we travel with, visit and converse with all year round that we met there over the years. You will be equally accepted whatever "option" you choose regarding swimwear or not and the vast majority of people there will be in your age group.
