I searched yesterday for a date in March and thought $596. one way was steep and that I should wait. Checked again today and the rate is now $660 On Jet Blue.
So I booked 2 seats one way direct flight on a Tuesday for less than the above quotes for one seat. Now I have to find a place to stay for the extra days.

Guessing that's why you were asking about the hotel next to BSV. We've had extra days to figure out the past few years for the same reason. I like to spend those days on the French side, since our timeshare weeks are at La Vista Beach. This year we're spending two nights at La Playa.

Aren't you able to tack on extra days at La Vista to avoid a moving day?

We usually do that too, but in Grand Case and I can't seem to find availability. So I started checking Dutch side since I cannot seem to get an answer from BSV if I can tack on. Perhaps I should try Orient and La Playa. Thanks for the info.

Aren't you able to tack on extra days at La Vista to avoid a moving day? Our unit isn't available, so we'd have to move anyway, even if only within the resort. We enjoy a different experience for a few days.

We have tried spending some time on the French side, before our BSV dates, but each time it was canceled! Once was the hurricane, the place is gone.
We would like to try something on Orient, near all the restaurants, in the village . I was given a name of one with a cistern, name starting with Sobe?.. My memory keeps failing me!!

I had no clue JB had a N/S flight on Tuesday as well as Saturdays from BOS. I just booked a January two week trip Sunday to Saturday...returning a day earlier because of the nonstop availability on Saturday. I would have stayed until Tuesday if I had known. More days is better than less.
I do miss the Sunday nonstop...
Edit: I should mention that the March nonstop Tuesday prices are great....

I know a place in Orient Village, 1 minute walk to restaurants. 2 storey, 2 bedroom townhouse. Very reasonable. PM for details.

I've learned a long time ago schedules change between advanced booking and departure. Happened a lot to me.
