Does anyone know the name of the hotel next to BSV?

If you are talking about the former El Zafiro, it's called Coco Vaa, or something like that.

It was the old El Zafiro that got evicted a few years ago. Yes something like Coco Vaca but more like a small guest house not really a hotel with any real amenities. If your budget allows consider BSV or one of the others on Simpson Bay.

Yes, it is Coco Vaa.

Stayed there 10 days in March. Same price as Beachside, but Beachside is better! (no Beachside availability for my dates)

Nice to have Dinghy restaurant right beside it, but different owners. Only went to Dinghy a few times. Food is good, not great, but staff were wonderful. Very friendly and very helpful.

Only 6 units at Coco Vaa, and only 2 bedroom is on the second floor. I got very tired of the stairs!

Beachside wins by a mile, but all you people who love BS have made it tough to get in there!

Cheers!

greenfields--especially being in Canada, I know you like to get out of the cold, but usually I don't have any problem getting a reservation at Beachside in the summer. I really like having the pool at BSV also.

Yes Beachside wins. I tried to book Coco Vaa to add to our BSV reservation for March but alas no availability.

Also tried GCBC now that their rates are not much more than BSV since BSV raised rates but again not available. Then I remembered JazzGirl's posts about Horny Toad and was able to book there for less than BSV. So I'm all set now for 2025.

Rosemary--hopefully you booked one of the rooms at HT which are on the first floor? The rooms on the second floor have an awesome view, but there are stairs to get up there, and your hubby probably wouldn't do well with those?

Just a note, Craig from Pack Light has rentals in Beacon Hill! Not on the beach. But for a couple of days before checking into BSV, why not, short walk to Simpson bay beach and Dinghy's!!

Thanks David. I'll keep that in mind for next time if needed. I finally made a decision and booked Horny Toad.
