There are lots of chairs and umbrellas for rent all along Orient. If you are talking about specifically the Club O section of the beach, again, yes, for sure. The Perch is still open (although no Papagayo's), and yes, for happy hour. I think it is now 1:30 to 2:30.

When I was there, happy hour was announced with the ring of a bell. Thence follows a Pavlovian response, and a significant queue develops for 2-for-1 drinks.

There is parking all along Orient, yes. If you are talking about the Club O section, sometimes it gets a little full.

Club O section of Orient: what kind of toilets and wash stations are there? Used to be some at the Perch.

Porta potty still there in container. It's cleaner than last year. Not pleasant experience.

Porta-potty better than nothing.
Not to be ungrateful, but after 6+ years, might it be possible to have more of a perch structure with some better potties going into a septic tank.
Shouldn’t cost more than the septic service they get now assuming someone actually empties the RV potty tank.
Again, not wishing to be ungrateful, but business has been steady since Perch lite arrived and could probably allow for an expansion of “the shack”.
With all the Club O non-progress and worn out excuses, it is time for some alternate progress with a New Papagayos with real electricity and French water plumbing. It could stay in place when/if ever any resort emerged from the ashes.

TJ--Sorry, due to the legalities, wanting real electricity and plumbing is a bridge too far, at this point.

Club O was never connected to the utilities, everything was generated on site

Seems silly that someone can’t trench some water pipe in sand and either do the same for electricity or put in a pole. Lisa and Oliver Douglas got electricity finally at the Haney Place…..so maybe the powers at be could allow that. Think of the pollutants that generator has caused over 6 years. Emmanuel Macron should make it happen.
