Is the Roxy now closed? Is there any evidence of a new building, maybe a condo, still being talked about? Thanks.

They were open in March but scheduled to close this month. I spoke with an employee and he pretty much said they were being kept somewhat in the dark with regard to what was actually going on.

Thanks. The word was April 1 for the closing when we were there in Feb. with a tall condo building in the works. We'll all know soon enough, I guess.

Just saw an ad for a 'final sunset party' at Roxxy for Saturday April 27. Not sure if that is their last day open or not, but I guess so.

Jason, one of the owners told me in an email. End of Roxxy, end of April. Louise and I had a fabulous lunch and fantastic drinks there. The atmosphere was very chic and the staff was first class!! IMHO, it will be sadly missed!!!

Glad it will be gone, expensive and too much loud boom boom noise.

I think a lot of people will be happy to have the noise gone.

Especially those from the Royal Palm.

We are at the Royal Palm, and when they didn't stop until 2:15am, it was incredibly irritating! The building literally shook with the pounding of the drums! We will be much relieved not to hear that any more!

You may still have to deal with loud music from Cocky Turtle and Captains Rib Shack and various other places in that area.

The place, No Place Special, across the street from the Royal Palm, makes enough loud music until midnight, to shake the teeth out of our heads! Some is good music, but so loud, that one wonders how the authorities allow that to continue for a couple of years already. Maybe one of them own it!

It is on the beach, between Atrium and Roxxy.
