Friday was kind of an “off” day for me. Spent the day hanging out at RI and took one of my friends to the airport. Got her there at 2 for a 4 pm flight. As far as I know, all went smoothly. She was on the AA flight to Miami and apparently left from the A gates.

Dinner was at Moulin Fou. Delicious as usual. I had not noticed this before, and I have eaten there many times over the years, but the bill included a service charge.

Saturday we moved back to our Air bnb in Jordan Village, after checking out of RI and spending the morning/early with our friend at the La Terrasse pool. Turned the AC on and ran over to hang at Dany’s while the place cooled down. Dinner was at Mario Bistrot and was incredible!

It was also nice to sleep in AC 😀!

I don't remember an auto service charge at Moulin Fou before either, although it's been a couple of years since we ate there. Or perhaps they are succumbing to the crowd of restaurants doing auto tip.

Please do check with your friend to confirm if their AA flight to Miami left from an A gate. If so, that would be majorly good news!

Glad you are back in a/c. Did R/I have any estimate as to when it will be restored?

Carol, I haven’t spoken to my friend yet, but in looking at the SXM to MIAMI flight history for the past few days, they all appeared to have left from A gates.

I didn’t ask about RI air conditioning as I was leaving…. I do know that the staff were as unhappy as the guests. I felt for the housekeepers who had to clean all of the Saturday check outs!
