Had the whole lobster seafood boil at Chez Leandra's today - you can choose garlic of jerk sauce- choose the jerk. Huge tray - hot and delicious. Shrimp clams or mussels, potatoes, corn, crab and of course lobster. We pre ordered earlier in late morning for after 1 pm - smart decision! Not on themenu today but Zelman worked it out.
Still stuffed and took the leftovers back to our Orient apartment - yum and yum
As an aside the gelato at 119 Palm is great - just past the Petit Casino in the village. We are mixing the flovours in a container. Yesterday was cassis and passionfruit together and dark choc and chestnut in a nother container. Some left over for tonight
The Bufflone pizza was great from Bona Mama was excellent. They add the burrata at the end so it's not a pile of goo - excellent.
Go home is Tues - almost at the end of our three weeks - boo hoo
Whole lobster boil was $85 - they have a 10% service charge clearly marked on the bill - Half lobster is less, not sure of the price - we were glutons for a day! More than enough for 2 people, but we only had a small snack for dinner - On Dirait le Sud meats and chees on some baquette - with a side order of waves crahing on the beach for background music. Carol - lots of main floor one beds to rent - no stairs - in the village, close to the beach and village shops et al- maybe we'll see you there next year
Little hiccup for flight home, Tues checked WestJet site for no reaosn today and our seats had been changed - what... Called and we got other seats to our satifaction but not an answer as to why they changed - it all worked out though.
I will leave you with a pic of walking past Pedro's about 2015. he rocks to left are under water and the building is now just beach
That plate looks delicious and more than enough for two or even three people.
As to your flight seat changes. I asked about that once and was told that if the airline re configures a plane (usually to add more seats and crunch everyone up) that changes seat numbers and rows.
Rosemary--I would doubt an individual plane would be reconfigured between when the flight was booked and when it flies. Much more likely that the airline changed the physical plane to a different type of plane.
Carol, you stole my response!! But I will drop it here anyway:
It's been my experience that seat changes are most likely the result of an equipment change.
FWIW, it's highly unlikely that an airline would cram-in additional seats. The reason for this is that all airlines are required to run tests (with test live subjects) to ensure that the plane can be evacuated (in an emergency) in 90 seconds or less.
This is why seatbacks are required to be in the fully upright and locked position for take-off and landing. Absent this requirement, an airline would have to test an nearly infinite number of seat-up-seat-down configurations to ensure that every single combination meets the FAA 90-second emergency evacuation requirement.
And, yeah. That seafood boil photo made my mouth water. Hope it tasted as good as it looks!!!
The seat change was wierd. Same plane, but my seat was changed from C to A, we booked last June, I have the recipt. No explanation from WestJet. They changed us to the row one in front so we have the B & C seats and same extra legroom, so no harm no foul. Chalking it up to an agent who made a mistake.
Yes - the Boil was fabulous Note the price changes a little based on what lobster weight they actually have that day.
