Hello, everyone! I was on this board years ago with the name StMartinMike. Good to be back and I recognize many of you from the past.

We Are headed to SXM May 6- 13 after a seven year absence. I have been keeping up with the island through various outlets including this great board. While watching a YouTube video recently, the narrator mentioned a place called the Natural Pools. Has anyone ever heard of this place?

We have been to SXM about 15 times and never heard of this place before. Thanks in advance, Mike.

Yes, its also referred to as the Devil's Cupper. A bit of overland hike, wear good shoes, but a wonderful experience. Many websites with details, pictures and maps. A link below to a map showing location.

We've done the Natural Pool hike several times. We take the shorter, easier hike from the Pointe Blanche area and there is a longer hike from Guana Bay. This is a good youtube video showing the route we take - Tidepools. If you plan to get in the tidepool, wear sea shoes as there are usually sea urchins along the rocks. I made a word document that has the driving directions to get to the starting point. If you want a copy of that let me know.

Thank you for your replies. I was thinking the pools were on the French side but your info corrected that. Don't think we could do either hike but at least we know where they are.

Mike.
