Landed at 12:45. No line. Zipped thru passport control. Waited 15 minutes for luggage. Got our rental car from Unity and had lunch at SMYC. Saw the biggest ship I have ever seen go thru to dock in lagoon. The Bloody Mary

Hi all. After hearing all the horror stories about the airport at the weekends, I've booked to come in Air France on Tuesday 21st May. How are things mid-week?

It seems Air France gets privilege treatment in that other planes arriving must wait until AF's luggage clears the only carousel. THat's what makes delay so long for some.
You should be okay since you'll be on Air France.

First landing gets first luggage carousel.

RonDon--I think it was Lesley that said that, that AF gets preferential treatment on luggage? If so, he should know. They do get preferential treatment on jetways when they leave.
Jeannius--midweek is certainly better than the weekend, but it does depend somewhat on what times all the other flights arrive.

Carol, KLM also gets preferential treatment. On our last trip we arrived(on AA) well before KLM, and even though we cleared customs before the KLM flight, their bags hit the carousel before ours. I imagine KLM gets preference over Air France, though. C'est la vie.

Yes, KLM gets preference also, I'm sure.

Air France acquired KLM 20 years ago. The two operate as separate airlines, but the ownership is Air France-KLM Group.
