Day 2 ended with some lack of decision making for dinner but it was finally decided to go to Bar Code. They were packed and also had a vocalist, who was very good. We got a later start than usual and because Bar Code has a very small kitchen (2 people working in it), food took over an hour to come out. Fish and Chips, mahi mahi and a couple of burgers were the choices. All were very good but we should have gotten there much earlier. We had a nice chat with the owner and found out had previously had The Sugar Cane Cafe at the casino. Very reasonable prices and no service charge added.
Day 3 started with a short walk to meet Kareen at Reveil Martin but she was not in yet. I will work on that today. We headed into town (covered in a post yesterday}, breakfast at Chesterfield's (15% SC added) and then some jewelry shopping and visiting business friends. The lack of business in many of the stores has to be concerning to the business owners.
I then met up with Whate Tale and Mrs. Whale Tale (Gary and Bernadette) at Lee's. Extremely nice people who are relative newbies (10 years visiting?) but who do get around a lot and make some really good posts with pictures. They spend some serious time here and are valuable contributors to TTOL. It was a pleasure to meet them and add to the TTOL friends who I have met.
Dinner was at Izi with our jeweler friend Max and my long-time taxi driver friend, Junior Bruney. Lots of wine, a couple of appetizers and various entrees were enjoyed. I have known Davide from his days at LaGondola. He runs a very good operation. They were not very busy, which was concerning to him as he said the past 2 months had been excellent. He thought maybe the event in Grand Case last night might have been the cause for last night not being busy. 15% SC added and some limoncello shots to conclude the meal.
It was then off to Maho form meeting up with long-time TTOL friends. Several of us go back 20 years and have met many times both here on the island and at home as well. It was great to meet up with them and share some laughs and drinks. Kevin, Sheila, Sue, kim, Joan, Jackie and Gretchen (in passing as she was heading to the casino) have all been good people to have fond memories of many trips here.
It was a very good day and night!

Wow JD! You are busy!! We have hardly left the resort this year. So relaxing not to have to worry about making plans or driving.

We have a young first-timer with us so I have to show him around. I think today will be a little more laid back.

I forgot to add, we hit happy hour at The Greenhouse on Monday prior to going to Bar Code. The bar was full at 5:30 and the restaurant itself filled up shortly after. It was their prime rib special that night and it really brought the people in. 3-4 bartenders were doing their best to keep up. At one point I looked around and every table was occupied. Good to see them so busy. I guess Whale Tail and Mrs. Whale Tail was there but having not met them yet, I overlooked them.

Remember the days we wore TTOL hats, even flags for the beach!

Greenhouse has always been on my list especially on prime rib night.
