I went to Family Medical Practice in Cay Hill a few years ago when I was sick.

Here's another vote for Dr. Dekketh. I have been to see him 2x for minor issues. Very professional and a great staff.

Another vote for Dr. Deketh. Used him many times over many years and always pleased with his professionalism and his practices. We know several islanders who swear by him as well.

Respectfully,

pat

I will have to try to remember this thread, in the event we need a doctor on island. Sure hope it doesn't happen though. The one time I went to SMMC, years ago, it was not a great outcome. I tore my rotator cuff. They gave me an exray, said it wasn't broken and gave me a DIAPER as a sling for my arm.

Another vote for Dr. Dekketh. I had shingles last year, he prescribed some medication and it worked. I went to the pharmacy next door, got the medication and I was in and out of the doctor's office and pharmacy all within an hour.

Thanks for the suggestions. They ended up at Simpson Bay Clinic since it was closer and we saw recommendations on other lists. Will report on their experience when they are back. Hour and a half wait because they didn’t have an appointment. It was an ear infection as expected so got a prescription.
