Hi everyone:
I'm heading down on Thursday for a week in St. Marten! I've not done a solo trip in a while, so I'm a little rusty. Tips on what to remember to pack? What am I most likely to FORGET to pack?

MONEY! Seriously, other than your passport and any medications, you can get anything you need on island.

If you wear glasses take an extra set along with a patient pill at arrival.

Carol's idea is exactly how I think. Ok. What can I absolutely not get on the island that I am going to need. That is my first list to pack.

You can get everything on the island including money ( banks and ATM's available) but bring a lot anyway or a credit card.

Stainless steel cups or mugs (like a Yeti) to keep your drinks cold while around the pool or on the beach!

That was my plan! I'm not comfortable traveling with a lot of cash on me, so I was planning on getting it when I arrived (my bank doesn't charge for out of network ATM's)
I'll also get sunscreen when I arrive.

Pack ear plugs and/or bluetooth headset (don't forget to download airline app, boingo, or other perks) for your flight.
And once you settle in, if you're staying in an airbnb, be prepared to buy tp, dish soap, hand soaps, shampoo and if on french side, bring face cloths as may not be provided.
Most important??? bring your big smile and a laissez fair attitude...there's nothing a rhum punch can't make disappear... at least until the next morning.
enjoy and please add your trip report.

Does anyone know if sunscreen (lotion not spray) is considered a liquid by TSA?

You are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. These are limited to travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. ***TSA website
It is limited.

Yes, buy a 3 oz to take , like one made for faces then buy larger size in SXM t; HOWEVER be sure to check expiration date because I've noticed stores have some that is beyond the date.

We found these small Damp Rid bags that hang in the closet. Totally keeps that humid smell out of clothes. After one week there is 1-2 inches of water in the bag. They come in a three pack but you should only need to bring one.

I always bring extra underwear (just kidding), cloth bags are needed for groceries since there are no plastic bags. An extension cord is great too if there aren't many outlets. All of the above postings are great ideas.

We bring some plastic, as well as larger bags, in our suitcase.
