Arrived Tuesday Jan 30, Westjet at 3:15 with checked luggage... 30 minutes later, driving out of Empress Car Rental lot... pleasant surprise after reading horror stories about arrival delays!!!
Next 2 days at Orient Beach (Wai Plage, good food, great service).
No sargassum, minimal waves, no jet skis or para gliders, no overhead planes !!??
Most tranquil, peaceful time we have had in 30+ years - hope it continues.

This is encouraging. We are there at Orient in just over 3 weeks. Hoping the sargassum holds off and the tranquility holds on. Life has been.. well, life and it's been since June of '22 since we have been able to get away to our favorite island.

Arrival delays are MUCH LESS ISSUE on weekdays!

Sure looks like Orient Beach has really gotten much better! We'll be there a few times over next 3 weeks! Can't wait as we miss the good old days at Orient.....
