I know sargassum used to be a phenomenon mostly in the summer months, but is now it around in the winter months as well?

It was generally bad last February when we were there. Can never tell though. Changes all the time. The year before there was nothing.

It was bad last week of January in 2023 and very windy. But the year before it was perfect. This year we are switching to March because of the wind and Sargassum .

Again, just never know. We were there one year in March when the wind and sargassum was
so bad we didn't return to Orient the rest of our trip. Just move on to better beaches. Best wishes!😎

and last year the sargassum was pretty bad for a couple of weeks in March...and then a day or two later it was gone. It all depends on which way the wind is blowing, and the currents

I can report It's much better this year since we got here 2 1/2 weeks ago we had 2 days of seaweed but all good now just a small spot in front of bikini. Rain off and on this morning and hot. Lot less wind than last January so it gets hot and humid. I will try to carry on
