I was thinking the same thing. Need a little more info before making recommendations. 🙂🙂

Our “must go to” restaurants are Chesterfields, Mark’s Place and Lal’s Curry in a Hurry. We find the food is always consistently good at these long standing establishments.

Secret Seafood House is a great choice. Even for me who doesn't eat seafood! Wonderful steak.

Vesna Taverna is another great choice.

Off the top of my head not thinking many restaurants on Dutch side serving scallops as I would assume all are imported from far away and even more expensive than East Coast restaurants

I know Le Pressoir in GC serves them and extremely expensive as they cost a lot for Gil to have them imported

Just off the top of my mind, I can think of Sublime, Le Moulin Fou, Roma and Vesna Taverna all having them on their menu in some form from our most recent trip. A more exhaustive list can be found at the link below. It is a list from Trip Advisor showing 34 eateries with Scallops on their menu.

A bit off topic but doesn't deserve it's own thread, two one and dones early into this trip. Not horrendous, but mediocre at best, was our experience at both The Burger Bar and Dinghy Bar & Grille. Service was pleasant and attentive at both but .......... the taste of the food left alot be be desired. Run of the mill at both.

Do you mean Dinghy Dock, or Dinghy's Beach Bar?

I gotta wonder why a new place would name their place something so close to an existing business. Michael and I almost made the mistake of going to Dinghy Dock when we wanted to go to Dinghy's beach bar.

I agree it's a very confusing name. Apparently that's the name of their business in St. Thomas. Perhaps it would have been better to name it something different.

Secret Seafood joins the one and done. Nice folks but my meal was terrible. Wife did like the Garlic Salmon but my surf & turf left a whole lot to be desired. Sorry but I call them as I see them.
If you do order the salmom order it well done. Never been asked how she wants her salmon cooked b4.

No reason to be sorry. Everyone has different expectations and experiences. Hopefully most of your other dining experiences meet your expectations.

Don't recall anyone saying they wanted it well done??? Uncooked in the center doesn't work, but that's just me I guess.

SXMBND--you said "If you do order the salmom order it well done." I personally don't eat salmon, but I think most people order it to where the center is pink??

Has to be moist and flaky or it's not worth eating. We eat a lot of fresh caught ocean salmon in the Pacific Northwest. Can't be overcooked.
