Wow did I read this right! The dollar is now worth 1.09e I guess we don't have to worry about Dollar for Dollar for now. Haven't seen this value since the Euro's inception. https://www.exchangerates.org.uk/ne...llar-rate-rejected-firmly-at-1-1000.html

No, you have it reversed. $1.09 to the Euro.

This is an old thread that I just noticed. Ther are grave misinterpretations in these posts. The correct way to quote these two currencies is Euro/$. The dollar is STONGER against the Euro than it has been for many years. The lower the Euro in this ratio per dollar...the stronger the dollar.

since early 2022 the euro has spent the majority of the time near today’s rate (~1.10) or lower…i wouldn’t say “The dollar is STONGER against the Euro than it has been for many years.”

Or you could say the Euro is weaker now than in the past.

In 2022 the USD was equal to the USD....it now cost $1.09 to buy a Euro....can't really call that strongest in years

You are correct Scuba Dude. 10 years ago Euro was over 135/$. Today it's much weaker.
