I got news for St Barts. ALL travelers to SXM want upgrades at the SXM airport.
and from the article "Stakeholders are closely monitoring the situation, anticipating a prompt and efficient response to guarantee a smooth experience for visitors and protect the economic advantages linked to the region's tourism industry."
Prompt and efficient are two words not associated with this airport fixer upper.

I am sure this has Brian Mingo shaking in his boots. What a joke.

more fodder for the anti-SXM SBH visitors that despise SXM and do everything possible to minimize time there…many actually panic if they’re forced to spend a night

Rather than denigrating other travelers, I look at any pressure to fix the issues at SXM as a welcome addition.

I agree Bahston. If a traveler's final destination is St Bart's and they are forced to stay somewhere else because of crappy airport delays brought on by corruption etc, I'd be pissed off too.
