Every week we have traveled from the Simpson Bay Resort to Orient beach each day. The winds have been really strong. Two days we went to the beach and then came back as we were being sand blasted. We had dinners at the Greenhouse, Skipjacks, Pineapple Petes and Osola. The food was good at these restaurants but at Skipjacks, we arrived at 6:15 and our food arrived at 7:40 and they didn't think that was a problem. Some of the restaurants have been adding 15% gratuities automatically while others have not. We stopped off at the Sunset Beach Bar for the first time in about three years and boy is it busy. It's always fun to watch the planes land and take off. We have four more days on the island and hope to try some additional restaurants. We are going to the buccaneer beach bar to night for some ribs. We haven't been there for a while so we want to see if the ribs are still good.

Thanks for the report. You just need to be careful to look for that gratuity on the check, so you don't double-tip. That is way too long for your meal to arrive, yes. Did they give you a break on the price?
Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Give Roma a try in Maho. Quite a step up from ones you've already been to.

If you find yourself in Grand Case try NICE (pronounced neeecee, like in France) waterside. Great food and view. Long ago this location used to be a seafood restaurant. Near the free parking lot and Le Pressoir.
