Family landing in an hour and half, will be joining them soon. Looking for a rental agency to meet them for $35. Per day

Someone should have made a reservation before now. Expect to pay more than $35, for sure.

If you don't get anything lined up, perhaps try negotiating once outside the airport. Don't worry so much about the daily rate as what the bottom-line rate is for the rental period as you have to allow for taxes, airport fee, etc. You will still likely be around $50/day regardless.

When we landed last Sunday, there were rental agencies outside the terminal looking for business. I doubt you'll get $35 a day at the last minute.

A little more info would be great ie., size of car, length of time needed, etc

Just doing a quick Orbitz search, the cheapest I'm seeing is $302 for a week through Sixt. That's after taxes, but not including any insurance.

Hi
I can't help but can say that there are off the beaten track car lots where the daily rate is very low. At this late stage, they may take this option.
I think we rented from Johnny's??? for around this low rate. It all worked out. The small car was in perfect shape. They are located off the main tourist area and next to a hand car wash... which describes anywhere near Philipsburg.
So ask a trusted local and they will direct you to a backyard car rental company with insurance.
(Sorry no time to confirm contact info as i am heading out)
At minimum its a rental til they find what they are looking for.
Option 2: ask for a trusted local to chauffeur them around. Keep the driver on retainer. Ive heard of these arrangements esp for late night bar hopping.
my 2 cents worth.
Merry Christmas!
btw we left keys with a friend on french side who returned the rental days later with no problems.
