Our Westjet flight out of Toronto was on time and with a good tail wind we flew in early to SXM. That was a very good thing because with Air France already parked at the gate we beat the KLM jet by 15 minutes, so we were hopeful it wouldn’t be too bad inside the “new” temporary arrivals area.
It was awful, however…such a small, cramped space for hundreds and hundreds of people. It didn’t help that there were only 3 customs agents working at the time and they seemed to be as frustrated as we were. But finally after enduring two hours of misery, we were running out of the building, over to William from AAA Car rental and then to Driftwood for a celebratory Carib.
Thanks for the pics. I couldn't find one happy face around the luggage carousel. But as always a cold Carib fixes everything. Not looking forward to arriving at this facility.
